K5 would just like to make a correction to our Blog Posted today. We stated that SA Men and Women were both Ranked 1, well this is not correct, as our very own Namibia Women's Indoor Team are actually Ranked 1 in Africa and SA Women are Ranked 2. This came about when the Namibia Women beat SA in the 2017 Africa Indoor World Cup Qualifiers held in Swakopmund, to Qualify for the 2018 FIH Indoor World Cup held in Berlin, Germany.
So huge apologies to the Namibian Women who have bragging rights to Rank 1 until the upcoming Africa Indoor WC Qualifiers to be held in Durban, SA, with final dates Pending Lockdown status.
What we would also like to add is this Blog is a huge shout out must go to Dunelle van Taak who is an ex-Namibian Hockey player who opted to take up her SA Citizenship while studying in SA and was named in the SA Women Indoor Squad announcement.
We share huge congratulations with her and wish Dunelle all the blessings that she needs to make the Final SA Team that will play against the Namibian Women at the Africa Indoor World Cup Qualifiers later this year.
